Message from IAP2 HeadquartersIt gives us pleasure to introduce the first issue of IAP2 INTERCONNECTIONS, the Federation Newsletter.
We hope you will be informed and inform others in return to subscribe on-line to this quarterly update which we hope to make available to all our national Affiliates in Australasia, Canada, France, Italy, Indonesia, South Africa and the United States.
We encourage you also to share it with friends and colleagues who are active in carrying out participatory processes of public consultation around the world.
We believe that communications among national affiliates and between the International Federation and the national affiliates is crucial to our connectivity and collective success. The IAP2 Federation is committed to assist this process of sharing.
We encourage our member affiliates, friends and supporters of the IAP2 Federation to go to our website on a regular basis and discover the refresh we have undertaken recently. www.iap2.org
With your advice and guidance in the coming months, both the form and content of our website will be made more user-friendly and become a tool to facilitate more networking and sharing of research and information. We seek your help to collect and disseminate news on important events, conferences, calls for proposals, job advertisements and professional development opportunities that we can share in a timely manner with the entire Federation. Linking with like-minded organizations so that the field of public participation can grow and reach newer generations would increase our strategic influence. Cyber technology is changing the face of the planet; it is providing interesting opportunities to share knowledge. Let’s use it to further our mission, vision and values!
We hope this newsletter will be a powerful vehicle that facilitates the sharing of information on the work of our global association. Together with our IAP2 website and communiqué informing national affiliates on the key decisions made by the Federation Board each month, we hope this simple, cost-effective tool will enable you to be informed on the work underway.
